It's our Top 12 Albums of the Year! (Longer list to come later, I could only fit 12 songs in a one hour set...).  I feel like 2012 was a really great year for music, and in so many different genres too! And really, when I look at this list, my top albums/artists were the ones I played most often this year, so I feel like I'm being true to myself and not copying everyone else... Anyways, no surprise that Grimes is my top pick, Visions may even top my best of the decade list. Top Albums of 2011

It was really hard to make this list for 2011, I feel like a lot of albums tie because they are so similar.
Last year I had trouble narrowing it down to 15, this year I couldn't even find 15 albums I liked enough for the list...

Not to say that there wasn't any good music in 2011, there was, but I feel like it wasn't as varied as last year.
There were also many excellent EP's that obviously couldn't go on my Top Albums list...

The Musical Menagerie Radio Show Returns!

Hi all!  It's been a long time, but I am pleased to announce that I will be doing my radio program, "The Musical Menagerie" once again! It will air Wednesdays 12:00PM - 1:00PM PST on kxsc, and will keep the same format as my blog mixes; including all genres and music from various decades. I will post every playlist to this blog as well as my last.fm group page.  If you like what you hear, let me know! I'll also be giving away tickets to shows in the L.A. area.
